Deck Profile 03: We'll shall Stand and Burn.

This time, I'll be revealing a hybrid Nova Grappler deck that has gained most of it's skills from the Kagerou clan. Nova Grappler was originally known as the deck that will not rest, but now it can retire your opponent rearguards whenever you stand a rearguard. To add into the mix, they also have a G-unit that can stand again after it finishes in attacking your opponent's vanguard (references from Dragonic Overlord's skill). But the main weakness is still there, they still need their hand size to pull off their play style or they'll not be able to do much in game without any rearguards. With that in mind, let's start with the G-units line-up.

As mentioned, you'll need 4x Victoplasma as your main G-unit to make your vanguard stand again. 2x Meteokaiser Tribute that burns your opponent's rearguards for whenever your rearguards stand and 2x Vic-Ten that pressures your opponent into guarding in order to prevent your rearguards from standing.

If your opponent play clans like royal paladin, gold paladin or aqua force which requires a full field most of the time, striding Meteokaiser Tribute is the best way to burn down their rearguards. While if they're the type to solo whack you such as Dimension Police, Shadow Paladin and Kagerou, you'll need to force them to waste their hand size just to guard your Meteokaiser Vic-Ten's attack (if attack hits, stand one of your rearguards and it gets power +5000).

Your grade 3 units are still the main cards that you'll need for playing this deck. Since it's a hybrid deck, a little bit of the Raizer series is added into the play style.

Your main grade 3 avatar would be Meteokaiser Victor which allows you to stand a rearguard whenever you attack with your vanguard while in your G-unit. Just think of the sweet combo you can do with Victoplasma as your G-unit (stand your vanguard and your rearguards). Now meet Mega-Flare, the Ultimate Raizer which Legions with Dual-Flare. This unit takes advantage on it's units when 4 of them are rested, it gets critical plus 1. What's worst, if it's attack hits, stand one of your rearguards. This attack would definitely caused your opponent to waste one of his/her null guards. Combo it with Cat-Butler, they're screwed (we'll cover that later.)

Your grade 2's aren't important since I made this deck to purposely use grade 3 as your rearguards. But still, they are needed until mid-game and they are useful to at least guard for you.

With the new units from G-BT01, you'll only need 3x White Hank and 4x Sazander to maximize your standing abilities. Although you can bet most of your standing abilities from your vanguard's skill and stand triggers sometimes, White Hank can be a great unit to help you in this play style. 3x Dual-Flare (we'll need the mates for Legion). A little bonus that I think it will be a good combo to gain your hand size early-mid game, Street Bouncer. The skill requires you to rest 2 of your units in the same column and you get to draw a card with it.

Grade 1's are pretty standard at this point. I mean I used the same formula in most of my deck profile and I'm sure you guys will do the same thing as I did (4x null guards, 4x stride-assist....).

Nova Grappler are known to be a counter blast-heavy deck since the day it was born. Thus, you'll need at least 3-4 Clay-Doll Mechanic to make sure you don't run out of tricks in the game. you can change one of your stride-assist if you want to play safe with 4x Clay Doll Mechanics. But I preferred 3x of them since I got a special critical trigger to compensate back. The extra 2x cards would be Cat-Butler and since "Bullshitroad" wants to make sure we don't stand our vanguards too much, they'll only allow 2x Cat-Butler to be used per-deck. That brings us to have these 2 cats fill in as our last spot in the deck.

By sacrificing Cat-Butler, it allows your vanguard to stand again if your attack doesn't hit and your vanguard must be in grade 2. The skill does apply to you when you Legion since you have a grade 2 unit in your vanguard circle as your mate. With Mega-Flare's critical still online after your opponent guarded it, kill the cat and your vanguard stands again which makes your opponent think "what's the point -_-" (you can end the game with this combo when your opponent is at 4 damage XD).

Now for your trigger line-up...
As I said about a special critical trigger that compensates Clay Doll Mechanic's skill, Red Lightning allows you to counter charge 1 when you put him into your soul. You'll need 4x Energy Girl as your stand trigger to help you increase your standing abilities. After she boosts a unit, put her back into the deck and you can stand one of your rearguards (you'll be so lucky if you were able to drive check her again when your vanguard attacks). 4x draw triggers are essential to keep a good hand size. Up to this point, you can choose whether you want heal triggers or more stand triggers. For me, I prefer to have 2x Turboraizers replacing 2x heal triggers in my deck to get a good 6k boosts and then returns back to my deck which increases my drive check chances (Note: Turboraizer and Battleraizer's skills are the same). If you guys want to play safe, 4x heal triggers are standard to avoid you from taking too much damage (I just randomly put 2x Ring Girl Clara as my heal triggers. Any heal triggers is fine for this deck).

Believe it or not, your grade 0 starter is actually one of the important aspect of your deck.

You can either A: go for a grade 3 searcher which increases your hand size and saves your starter from getting burned from decks like Kagerou. Or if your opponent is using decks like Royal Paladins and Aqua Force, you'll need your rearguards to maximize your stand burning-stand power from your Meteokaiser Tribute. In which case, Extreme Battler Runbhol will be useful since you can stand him as long as the unit in the same column as him stands.

Through this deck profile, I hope you guys find a good play style for your Nova Grappler decks. With WGP coming soon (November 1st), this should be helpful to all Nova players out there that wished to "stand" a chance in this tournament. My next deck profile would probably be covering the Deletor series in the Link Joker clan (since G-Comic Booster 01 came out, it should be interesting to see a different variation play style with their new units). Until then, hope to see you guys soon :)

1 hit, K.O. New Record

Things have been moving a lot quite fast lately. I mean normally in high school, I would have thought that exams, festivals, holidays and fun stuff would last for a very long time. But around semester 2 in college, I just realized that I've missed moon cake festival, School holidays and a lot more fun stuff. What I've been doing are mostly hanging out with friends (chilling while doing nothing), handling group assignments (try to rushed everything within 1 week, even though it's not a last minute work), watching more anime and playing more LOL. And I juz realized that I've wasted a lot of money on a PS3 without even playing it much... (only played Naruto: ultimate ninja full burst 3). Gosh I even bought Dead Space 3 and GTA 5, yet I haven't even started playing them at all.

That's about what I've been using my time on. As for my deck profile blog, I couldn't figure out a specific fixed deck for a clan to play with. Probably too much assignments and "chilling out" have been going on through my life since semester 2, and I didn't know that October was about to arrive soon (and 2016 will be where I start my new life all over again...) Well, it was fun while it lasted.

I guess you could say year 2015 would be the least productive year for me since I barely did anything to become awesome. I will post out a deck profile blog soon, this is just a brief post to get rid of my idling (I'm not dead). So in the meantime, do something productive I guess..... and have fun :)

Earn Fast, Spend Faster.

A few years ago, my friends and I discussed about possible plans to take a vacation in Tokyo, Japan. Hoping to get closer into Japanese culture, I even started to learn Japanese language with my mother tutoring me... (the progress is slow). Of course going to Japan would be expensive and we were only students living with our parents money, so we decided to get the money through our little business (from Cardfight Vanguard Stuff and Anime Access) and sell anime stuff in anime conventions until we've earned enough money to cover our flight tickets.

Recently, an anime convention known as Animangaki 2015 happened in Sunway Piramid conventions and I was lucky enough to share a booth with a friend of mine. It was last minute and I was desperate to get a booth. He agreed to let me share his booth with an RM1 commission for every stuff I sell..... Surprisingly he actually earns a lot more than a fixed payment (I didn't have enough confidence thinking that I would sell so many of my stuff). Anyhow, I still earned a huge profit out of the sales and it was ALMOST huge enough to cover my flight ticket to Japan. I also had a great time at Animangaki seeing some friends and meeting new people. Jarred from Grimfilms also showed up at the event and he had a VIP  booth upstairs.....(his a Malaysian Youtuber, definitely took a selfie with him).

I guess anime conventions are great places to sell your anime stuff to earn some money. However, after seeing I had so much money. I kind of invested it for my Cardfight Vanguard Stuff by pre-ordering 2x G-Comic Booster 01... (I already did planned for it). But what's worst was that I used the remaining amount to purchase a PS3 console....(Yup, I got a PS3 console and I'm happily enjoying playing Naruto Shippuden: Full Burst 3). And it was awesome, but there goes my savings for Japan -_- I guess I'll be staying in Malaysia for a very long time and hopefully I can make a comeback through some other anime conventions..... (Comic Fiesta seems to be risky due to it's booth fees being charged at RM400 per-table). Until then, I'll be studying as a normal college student. Stay tune for my deck profile :)

Deck Profile 02: The Return of Star-Vaders

Too start-off this deck profile, I'm just going to make it fast and simple. First of all, I don't know how long will I be doing this (probably until I run out of decks to review). But I will eventually mix some parts of my life story while reviewing my deck profile. Not a big deal, just want to publish everything out in one go before the next blog comes.

A lot has happened these past few weeks. First of all, Ariya (An old friend of mine back in Form 3) is going to move to USA to continue her studies on music through a scholarship. It all came into a surprise, but I kind of knew this feeling where a friend moves oversea and you will have to say your goodbyes..... eventually. So her best friends decided to throw her a farewell party at a restaurant, Big Hug Burger and invited almost everyone she knew..... (that includes me). Greg and Ash came as well so it's good to see some familiar faces. We enjoyed ourselves, had a great burger feast, played some party games and spend the last moments with her before she returned again.... after 4 years.

Recommended restaurant for a farewell party.

With all that out of my mind, Ariya will be missed. And the rest of the days until now would still be the same where I continued my exhausting schedule on College studies. Anime Club is back for students to join and more assignment is given for students to finish -_-... That's about it for my life at the moment.

Now to get started on the deck profile, Link Joker will be the main focused here. To have the whole idea of what cards you'll need is simple. Get 4x Koko Crunch Dragon (Big Crunch Dragon), 4x Chaos Breaker Dragon, 2x G-TD05 and you're good to go. Because that is literally all you need in order to make this deck to be consistent. Your play style would be to make your opponent choose between getting his/her rearguards "Retired" (Chaos Breaker Dragon's skill) or "Omega Locked" (Koko Crunch Dragon's skill) with additional supports for "Omega Locks" and gaining power-ups from "Locks".

Let's get started with the grade 4 units (stride units) and the starter vanguard (grade 0 starter).

Definitely you'll need 4x Koko Crunch Dragon, Because you can only use their skill twice (due to the cost of their persona G unflip). The skill allows you to "Omega Lock" one whole row of rearguards (Basically 2x rearguards, if they're dumb enough to call any). Your other stride units can be 4x Judgement Messiah or 2x Judgement Messiah and 2x Blizza. Judgement Messiah can be used for an early single lock and thus caused the opponent to waste their hand-size just to guard in order to prevent you from locking them (90% of them will guard unless they got an empty field). As for your grade 0 starter, I don't really know which one you would want to use. You can choose a vanilla grade 0 as your starter for all I care (it works well with C.B.D. since it has "Star-Vader" in it's card name). For me, I just want to get grade 3's in my hand for striding. So I prefer to get a "grade 3 searcher" as my starting vanguard.

Onto the grade 3's (The main event).

4x Chaos Breaker Dragon would be your main grade 3 avatar. Use your Koko Crunch Dragon to "Omega Lock" and after 2 turns (which you should be at 4 damage by then), you burn those 2 locked units and increase your hand size by 2. Of course if you keep on drawing cards for your hand size, you will deck out fast. So you'll need Legion to neutralize decking out. Halfnium would be well-recommended because you can get power-ups just by combining with Koko Crunch Dragon's "Omega Lock".

Now for the grade 2 line-up.

4x Dusk Blade is a highly recommended card to have because you can spam locks with just one "Counter Blast" cost for every turn as long as it's being boosted. 4x Radon (Obviously you'll need the mate for "Legioning") and 4x Technitium which allows you to power-up by 5k just by dropping one hand size and if the attack hits the opponent's vanguard, you can "Soul Charge" and "Counter Charge" (It's a good compensation for Chaos Breaker Dragon's cost since it needs to "Soul Blast" in order to burn your opponent's units and draw a card). They'll guard the attack which will lessen their hand-size.

On to the supports (grade 1 units.)

4x Null guard units that "Counter Charges" since you'll be using a lot of "Counter Blasts". 3x Destiny Dealer (stride-assist), which you'll need in order to stride continuously. 4x Charcoal (LB unlockers), just in case if you're still in 3 damage and your opponent's about to unlock his/her units on it's next turn. You can guarantee a successful burn as long as this unit is on the field. And 2x Bolt Line because let's face it, Koko Crunch Dragon is confirm going to help you "Omega Lock" your opponents' rearguards so I doubt that you'll still want to waste your time for making your opponent choose to guard your attacks or not. I mean it's not like you can stack "Omega Locks" just to make them become "Alpha Locks"..... (I'm just Saiyan)...

And finally, on to the triggers (grade 0 units).

Simple as what you see here. 6x critical triggers, 6x draw triggers and 4x heal triggers. I don't care what type of art design you would like to see, just make sure they're "Star-Vader" units or else you're gonna be having a hard-time paying the cost for Chaos Breaker Dragon and Technitium's skill.

Keep all that in mind and I'm sure you're going to have blast playing Link Joker. At the time of this blog that is being published, the deck is up for sale and if you happen to be interested or do require more information on how the sale works. You can help us like and share our Facebook page on: www.facebook.com/cardfightvanguardstuff , leave us a message and we will reply to you as soon as possible. Until next time, I'll be thinking of reviewing either a hybrid Nova Grappler deck or maybe a hybrid Link Joker deck.... You guys can vote through the comments :) See you then.

What a Lovely Day to start Semester 2

I'm going to wrap up what I have been doing with my whole July holiday in one word: NOTHING!!! Semester 2 just started for my college. Everything became new. (some are still the same) And I had to start my day, waking up early in the morning around 7am to attend classes again... I got used to it since it was the main habit of my school days. I left my house around 7.30am and that was normally the time where parents send their kids to Sri K.L. (my primary school) And the road in front of the school would normally be jamming like shit. Normally I would avoid that road when going to Taylor's university. But since I haven't gone to campus in the morning for one whole month. For some god forsaken reason, I took that damn abyss path and got stuck in the jam for a long time.

Alright, reached campus just in the nick of time. Found a sweet parking space for my car. Ran to class just to make sure I don't arrive late on my first day for semester 2. I took my seat and looked around. Holy shit, I don't recognized any of the students from my previous semester. Am I even in the right class??? Later I found out that I was in Foundation for business. And that's when I realized that something is definitely wrong. I quickly got out and went to my Division Office to ask if there might have been any changes to my timetable. They told me that there are no MPU subjects in the first week................... fanfuckintastic.....

After laughing manically in my mind for about few minutes. I went to grab something to eat for my breakfast. And now here I am in my campus, doing absolutely nothing but blogging. God I hate myself. So that's pretty much my first day of semester 2.... Not much to say because I'm in a state of near-insanity. Although it's my own fault for not seeing the changes in my timetable (THEY CHANGED IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WHILE STUDENTS ARE ASLEEP!!!). But anyhow, I will be uploading a new deck profile featuring the clan: Link Joker in my next blog. If you're interested in building one of the best Link Joker deck, stay tune and you might just be amazed :)

Deck Profile 01: A Real Maelstrom

As I've mentioned on my previous blog, I will be sharing a deck-build occasionally. This time will be featuring the best way to play an Aqua Force Maelstrom deck with Admiral Maelstrom as the main stride unit.

Alright first off, These are your grade 4 stride units that you will need in your deck.
Oh and the grade 0 starter should be Bubble Edge Dracokid.

Bare in mind, the 2x blizza should be changed to Lambros. But if you want to save up some money (cuz Lambros is freaking expensive). Blizza works too. Your aim is to stride Admiral Maelstrom continuously while paying the cost with useless stride units (the 2x Tidal Bore Dragon). And then end it with Blizza (or Lambros if you're rich enough to afford 2x).

These will be your grade 3 line-up.

After a long testing on experimenting this deck, here's the weakness that I've managed to compensate. You see, Maelstrom decks are normally used to increase your hand size after every succeeding 4th battle. In other words, there's a high probability that you WILL draw an extra card if you were to make your Maelstrom attack on the 4th battle (Which is an easy job for Aqua Force to do since that's their clan mechanic). But you're constantly drawing card's every 4th battle and spamming strides almost every turn, you WILL deck out without your opponent having in need to beat you. That's when you'll need Zaharius to Legion and restore triggers back into your deck to end the game faster (don't forget your mate :)

Maelstrom Reverse should be your main Grade 3 Vanguard (NO, you don't need Glory Maelstrom because it's too risky to get 5 damage just for it's ultimate break to become effective). I did say that you will be striding every turn. But what happens if you couldn't stride??? (you're screwed with just a useless Glory Maelstrom sitting in as your vanguard). Maelstrom Reverse is more effective because you gain a "critical" just by making it attack on the 4th battle. And obviously your opponent has to guard (cuz u know, there's a "crit") And you draw a card if the attack doesn't hit while retiring one of your opponent's rear guards. (Now that's O.P.)

Here's when things get interesting with grade 2 and 1 units...

Of course you'll need 4x of the mate (Ianis). 4x Tidal assault and 2x Magnum assault (Note: Do NOT play 4x Magnum because your deck will become "counter blast-heavy.) What you're aiming for is "Mega hand-size" while ending it with Legion with huge amount of triggers back into your deck. So Saberflow Sailor is good for increasing your handsize. (When she attacks the opponent vanguard on the 4th or higher battle, after attacking, retire her and draw 2 cards.)

Your grade 1 units would be 4x null guard unflippers (every time you nullified an attack, you un-flipped a "counterblasted" damage). 3x Nikki (your deck has the potential to let you stride with 10 cards instead of 7). 4x Stacia (cuz people are going to get annoyed by that back-row 9k whacker) and 2x Penguin soldier (MEGA-HAND SIZE B****HES, remember that). The best way to make a 4th battle for your vanguard is to have a Tidal Assault and a Stacia in the same column. They spam up to 3 battles (Tidal 2x battles and Stacia 1x battle). Allowing your Maelstrom vanguard to be on the 4th battle.

Finally, this would be your trigger line-up.

8x crits, 4x draws and 4x heals. The critical triggers MUST have 4x Despina because she supports Maelstrom a lot and gets returned into the deck after every 4th battle. (Basically, you refreshed your critical triggers to increase your chances when drive-checking.) 4x supersonic sailor might be useful since you are counter blasting with every Maelstrom unit. and there's no guarantee that the null guard unflippers are going to compensate completely. (There's also your Magnum assault...)

The best formation you should be playing should be like this...

With Tidal assault and Stacia in one column pumping up 3x battles. Maelstrom comes in on the 4th battle with the support of Despina which prevent your opponent using grade 0 to guard (waste their null guards and even better if you're a 20k whacker with Maelstrom Reverse). And then increase your hand-size with Saberflow Sailor on the 5th battle and her support can be either Stacia or Penguin Soldier. (The penguin allows your to draw a card juz by soul-blasting 2x cards.)

Well there are other formation you can use but I find this to be the best one it can be. So what do you all think about this deck-build, let me know through the comments and if you are interested in buying it. leave a message through www.facebook.com/cardfightvanguardstuff . I hope this deck profile has been helpful to all Aqua Force players out there. Until next time, see ya.

A Deck of Lives

You know, it's strange that we never knew when is our time to go to the afterlife. I suppose god doesn't want us to look at the "life clock" so that we won't worry about ourselves on how long we can live. Imagine if we can see our "life clock" every moment in our life, we might tried to make every second worth of living by doing everything that a human being can do. But since we the "life clock" is not visible to us, I guess that means that sometimes we need to relax and be lazy once in a while. Not to say being lazy is a good thing, but at least set yourself a specific amount of time to be lazy that way you'll know when to wake up from your wonderland.

With all that said, that's what I have been doing since the start of July 2015. I'm in my semester break for the whole July until the August. Basically a whole month of summer vacation for me to do whatever I want (NO HOMEWORK!!! Since it's college). Anyhow, I realized that I've wasted almost half a month and what I've done so far are selling Vanguard cards and promoting the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/cardfightvanguardstuff . Not really productive. I did try to join a local League of Legends tournament in Campus League and it was a disappointment because our team captain didn't show up on the big day event. With 4 team members, we just trained in a cyber cafe and went home as if it was normal day.

After realizing that I've wasted quite a lot of time and I'm sure another 15 days will go by very fast if I don't do anything awesome. I decided I had like to help out people with whatever things I can do. As you all know that I am a Cardfight Vanguard player, I've build decks before and I would like to share my deck recipe to the public (Yes, you can abuse the play style if you want to. No copyright shit will happen to you or anything of that sort). From now on, I'll be uploading pictures of my deck recipe up online and maybe a video (If I think that deck is awesome) and showing you all how to use it's skills to the maximum. For those who doesn't play the game, I recommend you to try and learn it because it's a really fun game to enjoy with a friend. Every once a month, I'll be uploading at least 1-2 deck profile on my blog. This month I'll be uploading an Aqua Force deck featuring the real way to play a Maelstrom deck with the latest cards and a mix of the old LB era.  So stay tuned if you guys think it might help you in building your decks :)
