A few years ago, my friends and I discussed about possible plans to take a vacation in Tokyo, Japan. Hoping to get closer into Japanese culture, I even started to learn Japanese language with my mother tutoring me... (the progress is slow). Of course going to Japan would be expensive and we were only students living with our parents money, so we decided to get the money through our little business (from Cardfight Vanguard Stuff and Anime Access) and sell anime stuff in anime conventions until we've earned enough money to cover our flight tickets.
Recently, an anime convention known as Animangaki 2015 happened in Sunway Piramid conventions and I was lucky enough to share a booth with a friend of mine. It was last minute and I was desperate to get a booth. He agreed to let me share his booth with an RM1 commission for every stuff I sell..... Surprisingly he actually earns a lot more than a fixed payment (I didn't have enough confidence thinking that I would sell so many of my stuff). Anyhow, I still earned a huge profit out of the sales and it was ALMOST huge enough to cover my flight ticket to Japan. I also had a great time at Animangaki seeing some friends and meeting new people. Jarred from Grimfilms also showed up at the event and he had a VIP booth upstairs.....(his a Malaysian Youtuber, definitely took a selfie with him).
I guess anime conventions are great places to sell your anime stuff to earn some money. However, after seeing I had so much money. I kind of invested it for my Cardfight Vanguard Stuff by pre-ordering 2x G-Comic Booster 01... (I already did planned for it). But what's worst was that I used the remaining amount to purchase a PS3 console....(Yup, I got a PS3 console and I'm happily enjoying playing Naruto Shippuden: Full Burst 3). And it was awesome, but there goes my savings for Japan -_- I guess I'll be staying in Malaysia for a very long time and hopefully I can make a comeback through some other anime conventions..... (Comic Fiesta seems to be risky due to it's booth fees being charged at RM400 per-table). Until then, I'll be studying as a normal college student. Stay tune for my deck profile :)
