For example, yesterday was awesome. Today was horrible... But because of my decision to make my life awesome yesterday, it affected my life today turning into a stressful day.
It all started when I wanted to eat Mc Donald's yesterday around 1.30pm, just as I was about to make my exit from the house. I decided to take one last look on my facebook page through my smartphone. Little did I know, I saw an update on the latest anime convention for this January 2015 (the UCC cosplay ball). And it was happening right under my nose at One City Mall in USJ 21. Since I saw some of my friends were there, I might as well drop by and take some pictures while I'm at it. When reaching there, it was amazing that it wasn't as cramp as Comic Fiesta 2015 or C2 Age. But I was really hungry and Mc Donald was nowhere to be found, so I just randomly buy a sandwich complemented with an "Oishi" green tea and that settles my late lunch.
After that, I enjoyed myself with all the events they held there and took tons of picture.
TCG, cosplays, anime merchandises, mini concerts, you name it, all there. Had a great time and even won myself a free playmat and at one point, I even started singing Haruka Kanata from the 2nd opening of Naruto with a bunch of friends (mostly shouting cuz that's what most of the lyrics is about lol). It was awesome and met an old friend from SMKSJ.
The following day (today), I slept late and woke up around 1.50pm (I dun go to school so you know). And by the time I got myself cleaned up, I was feeling hungry since i miss breakfast. So I decided to go out for Mc Donald since I was planning to eat it yesterday but missed it. Got into my car and started driving and right when I reached SS15 near the junction beside a football field. I was about to turn right and make an exit to the direction of the Shell station (Drive through MCD). All of a sudden while in the process of turning mid-way, a speedy car just suddenly showed up crash into my side bumper. I had no idea where did it came from. After looking left and right, I was about to make my exit and suddenly a car appear right beside me causing an accident. Since she (it was a girl) was the one who crashed into my car, I assume she was driving way over the speed limit (30 km/h) around near 50km/h (it was really fast, at best around 38km/h no matter how you look at it).
So with that, I just wanted to settle the case quickly and stop any irrelevant arguments from happening. Unfortunately, she was driving on the main road and I was making my exit out from the junction (small road). And according to the traffic law, The one's driving on main road are always correct. So that kind of leaves me at fault no matter how I look at it. Even though she was driving over the speed limit, the law that I have offended was much bigger than hers'. So a police report was filed (definitely) and I have to pay a restitution of RM300. In addition, I received 8 demerits in my driver's license (15 demerits and I can never drive ever again). That means, another one of this kind of accident were to occur again before August 2016, I will have to retake my driver's test all over from scratch again...
But now that I think about it, if I had made my trip to Mc Donalds yesterday. That means I wouldn't be thinking about eating Mc Donalds today. That would leave me the option to just go eat some simple local food near my house and I could have avoided the accident that just happened today. But if I have chosen to go eat Mc Donald's yesterday, I would have missed all the anime events going on at the UCC cosplay ball (it only happens once a year, so yeah I would have chosen to go there rather than going to Mc Donald's since it's not going to disappear or anything). But because I choose something awesome yesterday, I paid a great cost for the decisions I have made today.
In other words, it was an equivalent trade no matter how you look at it. Nothing is free in this world. You will never know what are the decisions you've made until you've seen the result. Even now as you are reading this blog, you are actually choosing the decision to read it rather than ignore it. Either ways, you will have to face the results of your decisions soon. You just won't know when. My advice to you, choose wisely on the path you've made in your life.
